Governor Pat McCrory has established a Hurricane Matthew Recovery Committee, focused on rebuilding communities impacted by the hurricane. The NC Association of County Commissioners and NC League of Municipalities serve on the committee and are partnering to hold legislative input sessions to collect thoughts from local government leaders on what it is going to take to recover from the hurricane. We encourage you to attend, and to invite local government leaders you think are in a position to provide valuable feedback.

To register, please select a session below and enter your information. Click “show details” next to each meeting to view its location.

In preparation for the input sessions, we ask that you complete this brief survey on how Hurricane Matthew has affected you and your county.

Join us in March for a discussion of issues surrounding Medicaid administration, the state-county partnership, and the county role. The agenda will include an overview of the current status and county work in Medicaid processing; perspectives on Medicaid reform; and an opportunity to share lessons learned between county participants. Leadership from the N.C. Dept. of Health and Human Services will share follow-up and updates on FNS administration, NC FAST, and joint state-county initiatives. Lunch will be provided.

This day is designed to share information and insights with and between County Commissioners, County Management Staff, and DSS leadership. We hope you will attend with a team of these participants from your county. Counties with attendees from three or more different departments will receive a special gift at lunch!
