Each spring, the NCACC hosts a series of District Meetings throughout the state. For 2019, these meetings will follow a revamped format and schedule. Districts will be paired into smaller groups, so that they can focus on regionally specific topics with local speakers and perspectives.
District Directors are NCACC’s leaders in North Carolina’s counties and provide a voice for each region to the NCACC. Staff has worked with each District Director to identify a local issue of importance to build each meeting around, and to identify local experts to speak to the issue’s impact on each District.
In addition to sharing information about an issue of importance to your region, the Spring District Meetings will offer county commissioners and management staff an opportunity to network with officials from other counties, and to learn about the latest NCACC programs and services that benefit counties.
There is no cost to attend the meetings, which begin at 5:00 p.m. and include a dinner. Each meeting will conclude by 8 p.m. Commissioners who attend a District Meeting earn 3 credits in the “Association Sponsored Programs” category toward Practitioner, Master or Mentor status through the Local Elected Leaders Academy (LELA) Recognition Program.
The meeting dates, topics, and locations are shown below. Click “show details” next to each meeting for more information on its venue, and complete a quick registration to RSVP.
