100 Counties: Helping Our Children Thrive Summit

March 21-22, Guilford County | Agenda (PDF)

What can counties do to help our children thrive? Come be inspired at the “100 Counties: Helping Our Children Thrive” Summit! This event will showcase innovative county programs that go above and beyond mandated responsibilities. Whether it’s prenatal care, quality education, or workforce readiness, county governments can do powerful things to support the growth and development of our young citizens. The summit will also provide a forum for county officials to develop a plan for addressing children’s issues in their own home counties through data, knowledge, and peer assistance. Counties are encouraged to attend as a team, with representation from the Board of Commissioners, County Manager’s Office, Human/Social Services leadership, and key community nongovernmental partners.

A limited number of overnight rooms at the Sheraton Greensboro at Four Seasons for Tuesday and Wednesday nights are available at a special rate of $140 (plus state and local taxes). In order to receive the special group rate, you must make your reservation by phone at 800-242-6556, and mention you are with the NC Association of County Commissioners Child Welfare Workshop 2018.
